Mohanthal in Winnipeg
Mohanthal is a rich, traditional Gujarati sweet of roasted gram flour, made for Diwali, weddings and temple prasad. Find it at the mithai counter of Kathiyawadi Kitchen, Winnipeg's 100% pure vegetarian Gujarati restaurant on Regent Ave West.
About Our Mohanthal
Mohanthal is one of Gujarat's classic sweets: coarse gram flour (besan) is slowly roasted in ghee, then set with sugar syrup and cardamom into a soft, fudge-like sweet, often finished with sliced nuts. It is a favourite for Diwali and weddings and is traditionally served as prasad in Gujarati temples and homes.
At Kathiyawadi Kitchen, Mohanthal comes in a 450 gm box from our Sweets (Mithai) menu. Planning Diwali sweets, a wedding, a function or temple prasad in Winnipeg? Ask us about bulk, catering and festival orders.
