Authentic Gujarati Food in Winnipeg
“Let’s savour the taste of Kathiyawad, one dish at a time.” Opened in September 2026, Kathiyawadi Kitchen brings the farsan, street food and mithai of Saurashtra to Winnipeg — not a north Indian curry house, but the Gujarati snacks and sweets made from our grandmothers’ recipes.
We are built on four promises — pure veg always, authenticity, fresh ingredients, and dine in or take out — “the same ones our grandmothers cooked by, now on Regent Avenue West in Winnipeg.” Come by for Fafda with chutney and sambharo, Vanela Gathiya, Methi na Bhajiya, Khaman, Khandvi and Surti Locho, street food like Vadapav and Dabeli, and mithai such as Jalebi, Mohanthal and Shrikhand. Gathiya and dry snacks are also sold by weight.
